Residents of Little Elm will not find a town council race or town proposition on the Nov. 3 ballot, based on Denton County's published list of contests. Their ballots will still be long.
At the top are the U.S. Senate race, the governor's race and the rest of the statewide executive offices, from lieutenant governor and attorney general to railroad commissioner. Seats on the Texas Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeals and the new 15th Court of Appeals follow.
County voters also pick a county judge, where Republican Andy Eads faces Democrat Nick Pappas, plus a county clerk and justices of the peace. Which congressional, legislative and commissioner precinct races appear depends on a voter's address; the county's preview lists all of them, and our Denton County guide has every name.
Little Elm Town Hall, 100 W. Eldorado Parkway, is an early voting site. In-person early voting starts Monday, Oct. 19, and ends Friday, Oct. 30; on the two weekend days the county sets separate hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 5. Requests for a mail ballot must reach the county by Oct. 23.
