The U.S. News & World Report has recognized 48 companies from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in its latest Best Companies to Work For list. Dallas stands out with 24 of those companies, more than any other city in the metroplex.

The 2026-2027 edition evaluated around 3,900 firms across 14 different industries. Companies were assessed based on six criteria, including pay quality, work-life balance, job stability, and opportunities for professional development. The findings were initially reported by CultureMap Fort Worth.

Among the notable Dallas companies are Texas Instruments, Southwest Airlines, and the American Heart Association. Irving follows with 13 recognized companies, including Kimberly-Clark and Caterpillar. Plano has five companies on the list, while Fort Worth features two. Additionally, four companies from other areas in the metroplex were included.

For residents of Little Elm, located about 27 miles north of Dallas, this recognition highlights the strength of the local job market, showcasing a variety of industries that offer competitive employment opportunities.
