Holt Renfrew has introduced a new retail partnership with Mercedes-Benz Canada, bringing the global Mercedes-Benz Studio concept to its flagship location on Bloor Street in Toronto. The space officially opened on June 26, transforming a portion of the Yorkville store into an immersive destination that blends automotive displays with luxury merchandise and lifestyle products.

This activation represents the Canadian debut of the Mercedes-Benz Studios initiative, which was created as part of the automaker’s 140th anniversary celebrations. The studio is designed to present the brand’s "Welcome Home" concept through a rotating selection of vehicles, fashion collaborations, and curated retail experiences. Unlike a traditional showroom, the Toronto location combines car displays with high-end goods, reflecting a broader industry shift toward experiential retail that engages consumers beyond vehicle sales.

The space will evolve through three themed installations during 2026. Each phase will introduce new vehicle displays, fashion assortments, and limited-edition collaborations with Canadian and international brands. A permanent feature within the studio is the Manufaktur Atelier, an interactive workshop-inspired area that highlights Mercedes-Benz’s bespoke personalization program. Visitors can explore customization options and purchase personalized merchandise through an on-site station.

Jerry Wu, senior vice president of marketing at Holt Renfrew, stated that the retailer aims to curate the best global brands and experiences for its customers. He expressed pride in being Canada’s leading fashion and lifestyle retailer and noted the excitement of welcoming this unique global experience to the Bloor Street flagship. Wu added that the studio will feature ongoing innovation and partnerships throughout its time at the location.

Mercedes-Benz Studios are situated in exclusive settings in more than 10 leading cities across four continents. While each location follows a consistent global blueprint, every studio is uniquely tailored to its home city. Details regarding the specific duration of the Toronto installation beyond the 2026 timeline were not provided in the source material.

Holt is one of Little Elm's largest employers, with about 87 local employees, according to local government records.
