Kroger is preparing to open its 208th Texas location in Little Elm next week. The new 123,000-square-foot store is located at 26587 E. University Dr. and will serve residents in Little Elm, Aubrey, and Providence Village.
The $40 million project includes standard grocery departments for produce, meat, seafood, floral, and pharmacy. It also features an expanded selection of home goods, apparel, and toys. Unique offerings include a Murray’s Cheese counter and a fresh-cut fruit kiosk.
Customers will have access to 14 fueling stations and a grab-and-go kiosk stocked with snacks and beverages. The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, July 31, at 6 a.m. Early shoppers will receive prizes, gift cards, and coupons for free breakfast treats. Grand opening specials will continue through August 4.
Kroger Rewards members can receive 30 cents off per gallon at the fuel center during the weekends of July 31 through August 2 and August 7 through 9. Rudy DiPietro, president of Kroger’s Texas Division, stated the store reflects the company’s long-term commitment to serving families in one of North Texas’s fastest-growing areas.
Kroger is expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with five other stores under construction in Anna, Fate, McKinney, Princeton, and the Sendera Ranch community. Official opening dates for these additional locations have not been announced.
