Little Elm, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.2540 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 3, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.2920 yesterday. That is down from $3.2930 a week ago and lower than $3.6890 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3450, while the national average is $3.8230. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 44 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7240, drivers are paying about 53 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.2620 per gallon, AAA reported.
