Little Elm ISD's students tested at a B level in 2026. The district's overall accountability grade is a C.

The Texas Education Agency scored the district 80 in student achievement, a B. Its overall score is 78, a C.

What pulled it down

The gap is explained by the other two domains. Closing the gaps, which measures results across student groups rather than the district average, scored 74, a C. School progress came in at 76 and academic growth at 76, also C ratings.

A district can post respectable overall test scores while specific student groups lag, and the closing-the-gaps domain is designed to surface exactly that. In Little Elm's report it is the lowest of the four numbers.

Campus results

Of 11 rated campuses, one earned an A, one a B, six a C and three a D.

Prestwick Elementary led the district at 90, the only A. Little Elm High School earned a B at 84.

At the bottom, Hackberry Elementary and Little Elm Elementary each scored 67 and D H Brent Elementary 69, all D ratings.

The district

Little Elm ISD enrolls 7,647 students across 12 campuses in one of the faster-growing parts of Denton County.

Six of its 11 rated campuses sit in the C band, which means the overall grade reflects where most of its schools actually landed rather than an average of extremes. The three D campuses, all elementary, are where the district's report is weakest.
