Proposed Ordinance Details

The Little Elm Town Council is scheduled to review Ordinance No. 1857 during its regular meeting on June 16, 2026. The proposed measure would amend the Town of Little Elm Code of Ordinances to align local regulations with updated national standards.

Updated Code Adoptions

The changes target Chapter 22, Article III, and Chapter 50, Article III of the municipal code. The ordinance would adopt the 2024 editions of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, and International Plumbing Code.

Enforcement and Penalties

It also incorporates the International Private Sewage Disposal Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Property Maintenance Code, and International Swimming Pool and Spa Code. The National Electrical Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association in 2023, would be included alongside the 2024 International Fire Code.
