The City of Little Elm will host its annual Juneteenth Concert, presented by Car Wreck Cowboy, on Friday, June 19. The event takes place at The Lawn and is designed to bring the community together for an evening of music, reflection, and celebration.
Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. The Town’s annual celebration aims to educate and unite residents through cultural experiences and shared history. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will feature a live performance by The David Whiteman Band. Attendees can also expect food vendors and local shopping opportunities. The schedule includes community remarks and a special video message from Opal Lee. Lee is an educator and activist known nationally as the Grandmother of Juneteenth.
