The Little Elm Public Library, sponsored by the Little Elm Friends of the Library, is launching its Summer Reading Program. The event runs from May 22 through August 1, 2026. The program offers reading, prizes, and activities for participants of all ages.
The Summer Reading Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program concludes with an End of Summer Reading Party on Saturday, August 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Cove.
Participants may register and begin reading at any time during the program dates. Residents have two options for tracking their progress: the Reader Zone app or paper logs.
For digital tracking, users must download the Reader Zone app on a mobile device. Upon opening the app, participants should enter the program code eccf0. Users must choose one reading group. Children ages 0 to 5 years log the number of books read. Participants ages 6 and older, as well as Town of Little Elm staff competing in the staff competition, log minutes read. Each participant should register for only one program.
Alternatively, paper reading logs are available at the Library. Library staff and volunteers are available to assist residents. They can help set up Reader Zone accounts, register participants, and check off prizes earned. The library encourages residents to take advantage of these resources to ensure a summer full of reading and fun.
