Von Miller has signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, as announced by the player on Instagram. The Texas native expressed his enthusiasm with the message, "Hereee Weee Gooo." Miller, who hails from DeSoto, Texas, about 25 minutes south of Dallas, has a strong connection to the area and previously played college football at Texas A&M.
Entering his 15th NFL season, Miller spent last year with the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks in 17 games. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion, having won titles with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. Drafted second overall by the Broncos in 2011, he has also played for the Buffalo Bills.
Over his career, Miller has amassed 138.5 sacks, tying him for 13th all-time with Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy.
In addition to his sack total, Miller has recorded 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles throughout 203 games. His career accolades include three First Team All-Pro honors and eight Pro Bowl selections. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 with a matchup against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football game.
