Local High School Football Player Airlifted Following Practice Incident

A Crandall High School football player was airlifted for medical care after practice.

A student-athlete from Crandall High School was airlifted to a hospital after suffering an injury during practice on Wednesday, according to Crandall Independent School District (ISD). The district confirmed that a medical helicopter landed near the baseball fields at the high school to transport the injured player for further treatment.

Crandall ISD conveyed its concern, saying, "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family," while asking the community to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Information about the specifics of the injury and the events leading up to it has not been disclosed.
