Angela Stanford is returning to TCU in a new role with the university’s women’s golf program. She has been hired as an assistant coach after recently serving as captain of the U.S. team at the Solheim Cup. Further details about her responsibilities were not provided.
Stanford is from Saginaw, which is about 15 miles from Fort Worth. She played for TCU from 1996 through 2000 and finished her college career with 10 victories, a school record. Stanford earned All-American honors four times, a program mark no other TCU player has matched.
TCU head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Angela Stanford back home to TCU as our third coach.” Ravaioli-Larkin also pointed to Stanford’s background as a major champion and her work leading the U.S. Solheim Cup team.
