Nate Bennett will make his second consecutive start for Baylor on Saturday against Louisiana Tech, with DJ Lagway unavailable because of an ankle injury. The update was reported by ESPN.com.
Bennett passed for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in Baylor’s game against Prairie View A&M last week. He also threw two interceptions. Lagway, a transfer from Florida, injured his ankle during Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He missed the Prairie View A&M game after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech matchup.
Louisiana Tech will also have a new quarterback. Trey Kukuk is set to start after Blake Baker, the Bulldogs’ regular starter, became unavailable because of a hand injury.
