Tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, keeping him with the franchise through the 2029 season. Agent Mike McCartney confirmed the deal via social media on Thursday. Under the previous terms, Spann-Ford was scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2027 and was set to earn $966,666 during the current campaign.
Spann-Ford joined the league in 2024 after going undrafted out of Minnesota. Since arriving in Dallas, he has appeared in all 34 games. His consistent performance led to him becoming the primary backup tight end, a position previously held by Luke Schoonmaker, a second-round pick from the 2023 draft.
His impact extends beyond receiving numbers of 18 catches for 178 yards and one touchdown. Spann-Ford has been a significant part of the offensive unit, playing on 25.5 percent of snaps over the last two seasons. He also contributed heavily on special teams, logging 357 plays last year. The agent did not disclose the average annual value or specific financial structure of the new agreement.
