The Dallas Cowboys have extended receiver Ryan Flournoy and tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford, committing up to $24 million to the two players before either has completed a breakout season. Both contracts extend beyond 2026.
Flournoy’s one-year addition can pay him $6 million and keeps him signed through 2027. In 2025, he caught 40 passes for 475 yards and scored four touchdowns. The report said he is expected to become Dallas’ established No. 3 receiver.
His size and athletic ability allow him to play all three receiver positions in the Cowboys’ 11-personnel formations. The agreement could help preserve continuity among the team’s leading receivers if George Pickens leaves after the current season.
Spann-Ford agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $18 million, with $12.075 million guaranteed, keeping him in Dallas through 2029. He joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and competed with Luke Schoonmaker for opportunities behind Jake Ferguson last season. The extensions differ from the Cowboys’ earlier practice of waiting for players to establish themselves.
Previous examples included deals for Terence Steele, Jaylon Smith, Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland after those players had shown success.
