As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the start of the 2026 NFL season, they are mostly healthy, but two players are currently dealing with injuries. Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard is recovering from an abs/groin injury. Reports indicate he was engaged in rehabilitation activities on September 1, suggesting he might be available for the season opener, though he could require more time to fully heal.
Guard Ajani Cornelius, who has shown potential in training camp, is also on the mend. He missed practice on September 2, but was seen doing rehab work on September 1, indicating he could be ready for the first game of the season, contingent on his recovery progress.
Additionally, linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore have been placed on injured reserve. Liufau sustained a fractured forearm during the preseason finale, necessitating surgery, while Moore is dealing with a hip injury after previously struggling with groin issues. Given his injury history, Moore's ability to contribute this season remains uncertain. Liufau and Moore will be out for a minimum of four weeks.
Further updates on Bullard and Cornelius are anticipated as the week continues.
