Noah Brown has officially joined the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition provides the Raiders with a seasoned and physical option in their receiving lineup, which led to the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Brown's career has been marked by significant challenges, including injuries that kept him out for 19 games during his time with the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per catch.
Originally selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft following his college career at Ohio State, Brown gained recognition for his reliability and adaptability. He was particularly effective during the 2022 season, where he recorded 43 catches for 555 yards and three touchdowns, aiding quarterback Dak Prescott.
After his time with the Cowboys, Brown moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a notable season with 33 catches totaling 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. Throughout his NFL career, he has amassed 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect him to be the main offensive star, his experience and toughness could be a valuable asset to their receiving group. This signing represents a new chapter for Brown as he seeks to advance his NFL career after overcoming injuries.
