Nate Bennett could make a second consecutive start for Baylor after his debut included 314 passing yards, three touchdown throws and a rushing score against Prairie View A&M. The junior completed 26 of 34 attempts, gained 13 yards on the ground and was intercepted twice.

DJ Lagway is doubtful for Baylor's Week 3 meeting with Louisiana Tech because of an ankle sprain. The junior quarterback hurt the ankle in the season-opening loss to Auburn, which he played after transferring from Florida, but the injury kept him out of the win over Prairie View A&M.

Lagway took part in a Monday walkthrough, and coach Dave Aranda said his availability would be judged by how he performed in practice. The report said the injury is not projected to sideline him for a month or more, though it is uncertain whether he could play if Baylor faced an emergency against Louisiana Tech.

On3's Pete Nakos reported that Baylor is targeting Lagway's return for the Big 12 opener against Colorado next Saturday. Edward Griffin is listed as QB2 and Quinn Murphy as QB3. Source: fansided.com.
