After being carted off the field, Gaye was unable to place weight on his leg, prompting immediate concern regarding his condition. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound player joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent from LSU in 2023.
Although he did not make the Texans' initial roster, he later had a stint with the Tennessee Titans before returning to Houston this offseason with hopes of solidifying his role on the team.
Throughout his career, Gaye has played in 18 games, accumulating nine tackles and one sack.
