Aranda, who has a current record of 36-37 at Baylor, has faced challenges in recent seasons, posting a 22-28 record and experiencing three losing seasons out of the last four. His tenure includes a successful 2021 season with a Big 12 championship and a Sugar Bowl victory, but the team finished with a disappointing 5-7 record in 2025.
As the upcoming season approaches, starting on September 5 against Auburn, McNamee has indicated that while there is no specific win requirement, the program must show progress and foster belief to secure ongoing support and investment.
