Nico Collins and Ed Ingram could return for Houston’s Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys, Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. Both players have missed the past two games, and the team hopes they will be ready for the matchup. The game is scheduled for noon at Reliant Stadium.
Collins, a Pro Bowl wide receiver and three-time 1,000-yard receiver, has been absent as Houston has struggled to produce outside the numbers. Dalton Schultz has been the primary exception. Xavier Hutchinson led the Texans during the past two games with nine receptions totaling 120 yards. In an earlier game against the Buffalo Bills, Collins had seven receptions, 75 yards and a touchdown.
Ingram’s missed time has moved Wyatt Teller into the starting right guard role. Houston has totaled 130 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown over its past two games. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, sidelined for two games with a knee injury, is still considered week-to-week.
