Ryan Flournoy is set to remain with the Dallas Cowboys through 2027 under a reported one-year, $6 million extension. The agreement is expected to be signed this week and comes before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.
A sixth-round pick by Dallas in 2024, Flournoy was headed toward restricted free agency after the 2026 season. The new deal removes that possibility and gives the Cowboys another year of control over his contract. Dallas waived him as part of its 2025 roster reductions, after which he went unclaimed before rejoining the organization on its practice squad.
That practice-squad agreement replaced Flournoy’s original four-year rookie contract, leaving three years on the new arrangement and a possible restricted-free-agent season afterward. The team described his 2025 campaign as a breakout year. The extension provides additional seasons for him to develop in 2026 and 2027, while a longer contract could remain possible later.
Dallas has also reached a three-year extension agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
