DeMarvion Overshown, P.J. Locke, Malik Hooker and Cobie Durant will miss the Cowboys’ Sunday game against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Three of the four are defensive starters. Locke is Dallas’ third safety and a primary reserve, and he also will be unavailable against a Baltimore offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
None of the four took part in practice this week, and all remained in the United States rather than traveling to Brazil. Overshown has a hamstring strain, Hooker is recovering from a fractured forearm, Durant has a hamstring injury and Locke is dealing with a foot injury.
Overshown and Hooker were hurt in the season opener against the Giants and also missed Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Stephen Jones, the Cowboys’ executive vice president, said Overshown and Hooker might be available for the Week 4 matchup at the Houston Texans. Neither has received clearance to play, and the source did not indicate that a return is likely. Durant and Locke are not expected to be ready for Houston.
Overshown serves as the defense’s signal caller. Dallas ranked in the bottom three in total defense in 2025 and sits 29th among 32 teams through the first two games this season.
