Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled out of the Houston Texans’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals because of a knee injury suffered during preparation for Week 2. He did not practice during the week because of the injury.
The absence follows injury concerns in each of the past three weeks for the defensive end. Before Houston’s 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, Clowney had been managing ankle and hip problems.
Dominique Robinson and Sabastain Harash are expected to split rotational snaps at edge rusher while Clowney is unavailable. They will work behind Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. No further details were provided.
