Houston Texans linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to miss time with a shoulder injury from the team's 36-31 loss to Buffalo, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. Ryans said Houston has not decided whether to place the starting linebacker on injured reserve.
To'oTo'o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter while tackling Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance to get up, left for the sideline and did not return. Houston drafted him in the fifth round in 2023, and he signed a two-year, $16 million extension in August.
The 36 points were the second-most Houston has surrendered during Ryans' tenure. The Texans allowed 37 points to Tampa Bay in 2023, and Buffalo became the first opponent since Baltimore on Christmas in 2024 to score more than 30 against Houston. ESPN reported the injury update.
Houston's next three opponents are Cincinnati at home, Indianapolis away and Dallas at home. All three finished last season in the NFL's top 12 in scoring offense.
