Baylor football has unveiled its initial depth chart for the upcoming 2026 season, featuring DJ Lagway as the starting quarterback ahead of their game against Auburn. This announcement comes as the team prepares for the highly anticipated matchup.
In the offensive lineup, Dawson Pendergrass is positioned as the starting running back, with support from Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson. The wide receiver roles include Louis Brown IV, with either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter as a starter, and Gavin Freeman as the slot receiver.
On the defensive side, Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack will start at defensive end, while Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington takes on the defensive tackle position. The linebacker spots are filled by Travion Barnes at MIKE, Kyland Reed at WILL, and either Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder at JACK.
In special teams, Rhett Armstrong is designated as the kicker and punter, with Dylan Schaub serving as the long snapper. The kick return duties will be handled by Caden Knighten, Jayden McGowan, and Ryelan Morris. As the season progresses, additional updates on player roles may be announced.
