LITTLE ELM, Texas — Target has confirmed a July 26 opening date for its new Little Elm-area Super Target at 26550 E. University Drive in Aubrey, part of the retailer’s largest store-building push in years.

The store is one of 11 new locations opening across 10 states on July 26, with an additional location in Forney also opening in Texas. The Little Elm store, along with all new Target locations, will average more than 125,000 square feet and is expected to bring approximately 200 jobs to the area.

Located at the southwest quadrant of U.S. Highway 380 and Ryan Road in the Bates Towne Crossing development, the store will feature a CVS Pharmacy, a Starbucks Café, and Target’s full suite of same-day fulfillment services including Drive Up, Order Pickup, and same-day delivery through Target Circle 360.

“Our continued commitment to opening new stores is really about showing up for our guests and our communities,” said Adrienne Costanzo, Target’s chief stores officer. “These new stores give our teams the tools and environments to bring our merchandising strengths to life, create easier and more inspiring shopping experiences, and use technology to move smarter and faster every day.”

The 11 July openings are part of Target’s broader plan to open more than 30 new stores in 2026 and more than 300 new locations by 2035, backed by a $5 billion capital investment plan. Starting wages at the new stores range from $15 to $24 per hour depending on role and location.

For Little Elm — a fast-growing Denton County community of more than 55,000 residents — the new Super Target adds a major retail anchor to the US-380 corridor just south of the town and fills a gap for residents who previously drove to Frisco or The Colony for Target shopping.
