LITTLE ELM, Texas — Target Corp. is preparing to open its first Little Elm-area store next month, bringing a 148,000-square-foot retail location to the U.S. 380 corridor near the Little Elm-Aubrey boundary.
The store is planned for 26550 E. University Drive and is expected to employ about 200 people, according to the retailer's website as reported by WFAA and the Dallas Business Journal. The location is scheduled to operate daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Little Elm store is part of Target's $5 billion capital investment plan for 2026. The company has said that plan includes 30 new stores and 130 remodels across its portfolio.
The opening comes as Little Elm continues to grow along the U.S. 380 corridor. WFAA reported that the town's population is nearly 70,000, up more than 40% since 2020.
