Offensive Explosion
The Texas Rangers offense erupted for multiple runs early and often, overwhelming the Chicago White Sox pitching staff on Monday. Corey Seager anchored the attack with a double in the third inning that drove in two runs, followed by another double in the fifth that added an insurance run.
His performance helped spark a game where the Rangers tallied 11 total runs against the White Sox’s two.
Seager’s contributions were pivotal throughout the contest. After Texas took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on an infield single by Duran and a score by Seager, the Rangers extended their advantage in the third. Seager’s double to center field allowed Freeman and Díaz to cross the plate, pushing the score to 5-2 before the White Sox could respond.
Scoring Sequence
Texas established control in the first inning when Pederson scored on a groundout by Duran, followed by Langford scoring on Carter’s double. The Rangers added another run in the second on Seager’s drive from second base. Although Chicago answered with a two-run homer by Peters to right field, making it 3-2, Texas immediately regained momentum.
The fifth inning proved decisive for the Rangers’ lead. Burger homered to center field to make it 6-2. Shortly after, Seager’s second double of the game scored Foscue, extending the margin to 7-2.
Burger added another run in the sixth with a double that allowed Carter to score. The Rangers continued to press their advantage, with Duran scoring on a wild pitch by Trevor Richards in the eighth inning to make it 9-2.
