Burger’s Offensive Surge

Jake Burger provided the critical offensive spark for the Texas Rangers, delivering a two-run home run in the fourth inning that shifted the momentum against the Seattle Mariners. Burger’s blast to right field, measuring 362 feet, tied the game at 3-3 after the Mariners had taken a 3-1 lead.

He later added an RBI single in the sixth inning, driving in Brandon Nimmo to give Texas a 4-3 advantage.

Peyton Gray earned the win for Texas, pitching one scoreless inning to preserve the lead. He was supported by MacKenzie Gore, who started for the Rangers and pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits while striking out five batters. Jakob Junis and Tyler Alexander provided relief, each earning a hold, while Cole Winn pitched a scoreless frame.
