The game remained deadlocked at 2-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning until Rafaela changed the momentum with a decisive hit. Rafaela singled to left field, driving in two runs to give the Red Sox a 4-2 lead. The play also advanced Monasterio to second base, setting up further scoring opportunities for Boston.
