Early Offense Sets Tone
The Minnesota Twins established control immediately, loading the bases and capitalizing on early Texas pitching struggles to build a commanding lead. In the top of the first inning, Bell singled to right field, driving in Larnach to make it 1-0. The momentum continued as Lee launched a 365-foot home run to right field, adding three more runs and extending the Twins' advantage to 4-0 before the Rangers could respond.
Twins Extend Lead in Middle Innings
Minnesota’s offense remained productive throughout the game, adding insurance runs in the fourth inning. Larnach homered to center field, measuring 419 feet, which brought in Keaschall and pushed the score to 6-0. The Twins added another run in the sixth inning when Larnach singled to left, allowing Caratini to score and making it 7-0.
Texas attempted a rally in the bottom of the sixth inning. Langford homered to left field (366 feet) to cut the deficit to 7-1. Duran followed with a 374-foot home run to left, narrowing the gap further to 7-2. However, the Rangers could not overcome the early deficit.
Late Runs Seal Series Sweep
Minnesota secured the victory in the eighth inning with another long ball. Kreidler homered to right center (397 feet), scoring Caratini and increasing the lead to 9-2. Texas added a final run in the ninth inning when Foscue homered to center field (429 feet), making the final score 9-3.
