Tyler Loop's 56-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Baltimore Ravens over the Dallas Cowboys, 34-31, Sunday at Rio de Janeiro's Maracanã. The game drew an announced crowd of 72,792 and marked the NFL's first game in Rio. Baltimore improved to 2-1, while Dallas fell to 1-2.
Dallas opened with a 10-0 lead on Brandon Aubrey's 28-yard field goal and Javonte Williams' 2-yard touchdown run. Baltimore answered with two Derrick Henry rushing touchdowns, a Loop field goal and a 4-yard touchdown catch by Chris Moore to take a 24-13 advantage late in the third quarter.
The Cowboys responded when Dak Prescott connected with Jake Ferguson for 19 yards and CeeDee Lamb on the two-point conversion, then KaVontae Turpin scored on a 9-yard run early in the fourth.
The Ravens moved ahead again when Lamar Jackson threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Matt Hibner with 1:30 remaining. Dallas tied the game at 31 on Aubrey's 23-yard kick with seven seconds left, his third field goal. Jackson then completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers and called timeout with one second remaining, setting up Loop's winning kick.
Prescott finished 25-for-40 for 276 yards and one touchdown. Williams had 19 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown, while Lamb made seven catches for 112 yards. Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and Henry posted 26 carries for 89 yards and two scores.
