The Little Elm Town Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Aug. 18 on annexing about 11.693 acres into the town.
The land sits in Little Elm's extraterritorial jurisdiction, the area outside the town limits where it holds some planning authority but does not collect city taxes or provide full services. Annexation moves land across that line.
The hearing is the point at which residents can comment on the record before the council acts.
Road work underway
Separately, construction has started on the Hill Lane Expansion Project. The town has told drivers to expect temporary changes to traffic patterns around Oak Grove Parkway and Eldorado Parkway for the duration of the work.
Drivers who use that route should plan for shifting lane configurations rather than a single fixed detour.
