Little Elm's Town Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday on whether to annex an approximately 11.693-acre tract of land into the town.
The hearing is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Town Hall, 100 W. Eldorado Parkway.
What is proposed
The tract sits within the Marsella Jones Survey, Abstract No. 662, inside Little Elm's extraterritorial jurisdiction in Denton County, according to the town's notice. Annexation would bring the land formally into the town, putting it under Little Elm's ordinances, services and taxing authority.
The town has not stated in the notice what development, if any, is planned for the tract, and annexation hearings address the boundary question itself.
