Alvarez’s first home run came in the first inning, a two-run shot to left center that gave Houston an early 2-1 lead. He added another two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, driving in Altuve to push the score to 10-8. Rays Take Early Lead Before Astros Rally

Houston tied the game in the third inning when Jose Altuve singled to right, scoring Franco. The Astros took their first lead in the fourth inning when Altuve grounded into a fielder's choice, allowing Franco to score on an error. Houston extended their lead in the fifth inning when Altuve singled to left, scoring Franco again.

Pitching Struggles and Late Drama

Tampa Bay’s Drew Rasmussen started for the Rays, pitching five innings and allowing six runs, all earned. He was relieved by Cole Sulser, who gave up three more earned runs in one inning. Garrett Cleavinger and Craig Kimbrel pitched scoreless innings, but Casey Legumina took the loss after giving up two earned runs in his brief appearance.

For Houston, Hunter Brown started on the mound, pitching four innings and allowing six runs, all earned. Nate Pearson pitched a scoreless inning, followed by Cristian Javier, who allowed one earned run over two innings. Bryan King and Josh Hader closed out the game, with Hader earning the win by pitching a perfect ninth inning.
