Dallas Cowboys safety P.J. Locke suffered a foot injury in his second game with the team, adding to the defense’s absences against the Washington Commanders. Malik Hooker had already been ruled out because of a forearm injury.
A FOX replay appeared to show Locke moving toward a tackle and then limping before making contact with another player. Training staff assisted him off the field. Reports cited by Sports Illustrated said Locke subsequently walked to the locker room without assistance.
Dallas signed Locke to a one-year contract worth $4 million during the offseason. He spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Denver Broncos. Locke made two tackles in the Cowboys’ season-opening defeat against the New York Giants.
