Nico Collins was among five Texans who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice because of injuries. The wide receiver was listed with a hamstring issue after missing the Texans’ Week 2 loss to the Bengals. Collins injured the hamstring during practice last week, and no further details were provided about the other injuries.
Three defensive players were limited. Will Anderson Jr. was resting, while Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart were listed with knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who both have thumb injuries, participated fully.
The other injury-related absences were offensive tackle Trent Brown, with knee and wrist issues, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, with a knee injury, linebacker Jake Hummel, with a groin injury, and offensive guard Ed Ingram, also with a groin injury. Tight end Dalton Schultz was held out for rest rather than an injury, bringing the total number unavailable to six.
