Rangers Take Lead in Sixth

The Texas Rangers overcame an early deficit to defeat the Cleveland Guardians 3-2 on Saturday at Globe Life Field. The game remained tight until the sixth inning, when two home runs shifted the momentum in favor of the home team.

Shugo Higashioka broke the tie with a solo home run to left field, measuring 428 feet. The blast made the score 2-1 in favor of Cleveland, but the lead was short-lived. Corey Seager followed with a two-run home run to left center, a 399-foot shot that scored Michael Langford. The back-to-back power displays gave Texas a 3-2 advantage that would hold until the final out.

Guardians Strike Early

Cleveland established the initial advantage in the first inning. Bazzana launched a home run to right field, 385 feet, providing the Guardians with a 1-0 lead. The team extended that lead in the fourth inning when Hedges singled to center field, allowing Kwan to score and make it 2-0.

Despite the early deficit, the Rangers managed to tie the game before the sixth-inning surge. The scoring sequence showed Cleveland holding a 2-1 lead entering the sixth, which Higashioka’s homer briefly restored before Seager’s drive put Texas ahead for good.
