Fort Worth is about 38 miles southwest of Little Elm. The Boyd Police Department has disclosed details of an alleged hazing case at the Boyd High School field house, with four students arrested in connection with the investigation.
Police received a criminal complaint Sept. 3 alleging that a 14-year-old football player was subjected to hazing by students older than him inside the field house. The district then held its first public meeting since the police disclosure. Boyd High School’s principal and athletic director spoke, but neither discussed the particular allegations outlined in police reports and court records.
Chason Lee-Earl Tucker and Noah Davis Stevens, both 17, are being prosecuted as adults in allegations of unlawful restraint and bodily harm to a child, police and court documents state. The two other arrested students are being handled as juveniles.
Superintendent Tom Woody spoke about the case after the meeting, saying, “We're upset the incident took place, we're upset its out in the media, and so many people are, you know, are out making comments.” Boyd police said the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators will examine evidence to determine whether Texas law supports additional criminal charges based on the conduct or failure to act of anyone involved. Police have not identified other people who might face charges. The information was reported by yahoo.com.
