The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall to improve their roster ahead of a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.

Hall, 28, has a background with the New York Jets and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected 158th overall during the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Over his career, Hall has started 26 of 40 games, recording a total of 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.

Standing at 6-foot-1, he is anticipated to enhance special teams, an area where the Texans are looking for improvement.

The Texans are currently dealing with injury issues in their secondary, as multiple players, such as Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan, are sidelined due to various injuries. These challenges could affect the team's special teams performance, making Hall's signing timely as he seeks to provide added depth and experience. Updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury situation are expected as the preseason continues.
