A. Rodriguez delivered a standout performance at the plate, driving in five runs and collecting three hits to anchor the Texas Longhorns' offensive output. Rodriguez’s contributions included a double in the first inning and a single in the fifth, while also scoring a run via a hit-by-pitch in the fifth. His five RBIs were pivotal in building the lead that would ultimately secure the 11-3 win over the Oregon Ducks.

Early Runs Set the Tone

Texas established its advantage early, jumping out to a 4-0 lead by the end of the second inning. A. Rodriguez doubled to left center in the first, bringing A. Robbins and A. Pack Jr. home. The Longhorns added two more runs in the second inning when C. Borba homered to right center and A. Robbins hit a sacrifice fly to right, scoring D. Pendergrass.

Oregon managed to get on the board in the fourth inning, but the Longhorns immediately responded. C. Borba scored twice in the fourth on balks by Oregon pitcher J. Barkoff, extending the Texas lead to 7-1. The scoring continued in the fifth inning as A. Rodriguez singled to left center to score T. Becerra, and D. Pendergrass was hit by a pitch to score Rodriguez, pushing the margin to 9-1.

Oregon Responds, Texas Pulls Away

The Ducks began to chip away at the deficit in the sixth inning. D. Smith walked to score M. Molony, and B. Jaksa walked to score J. Brooks, making the score 7-3. However, Texas answered back in the same frame. A. Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to center to score A. Pack Jr., and E. Mendoza homered to left center to score T. Becerra, restoring the two-run cushion at 10-3.

Oregon added a final run in the eighth inning when D. Smith homered to left. The Longhorns capped their scoring in the eighth as A. Rodriguez hit another sacrifice fly to center, scoring A. Pack Jr. for the final tally of 11-3.

Pitching Decisions and Final Notes

Texas starter Dylan Volantis earned the win, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing two earned runs while striking out 10 batters. He was supported by Thomas Burns, Luke Harrison, and Brody Walls, who combined to pitch 3.2 innings, allowing one earned run. For Oregon, Cal Scolari took the loss after pitching 3.2 innings and giving up five earned runs. Jonah Barkoff, Leo Uelmen, Collin Clarke, and Michael Meckna also pitched for the Ducks.

The game was played at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas, with an attendance of 8,550. The victory improved the Texas Longhorns' record to 44-13, while the Oregon Ducks fell to 43-17.
