Prosper football opened its 2026 season with a 56-37 road victory over Rockwall at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium. The Eagles generated 549 total yards and scored 42 points in the first half to establish a decisive lead. Senior quarterback Tyler Albert, a first-year starter, accounted for all six of his touchdowns during the opening two quarters.
He connected with senior Marcus McCoy on three passes, including back-to-back 35-yard scores that started the game. McCoy finished with five receptions for 110 yards. Albert also ran for a 4-yard score and threw touchdown passes to sophomore Tommy Sherman and sophomore Chris Roberts.
Junior Hudson Bowman led the rushing attack with 160 yards on 16 carries and added two second-half touchdowns.
In Little Elm, the Lobos defeated Arlington Lamar 31-10 to end a 22-game losing streak. This marked the program's first win since October 2023 and its first victory under second-year head coach Keiston Alexander. The teams were tied 10-10 midway through the second quarter before Little Elm took control.
Junior Sash Suriya threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to senior Jaylan Finnie with under two minutes left in the first half. Suriya added a 24-yard score to junior Kash Alexander in the third quarter, and senior Tyson Paul ran for a 3-yard touchdown early in the fourth.
Suriya finished with 317 total yards, including 231 passing and 86 rushing, while the Little Elm defense shut out the Vikings in the second half.
